This ram we call GENESIS - a new beginning. The culmination of nearly 9 years of proving up for the parent stock. Genesis made very good post weaning weight gain, was naturally wool free at the end of July 2007 at 11 months old with a clean fine hair cover. Well muscled and carrying an ideal amount of fat cover.
The sire "Kayson", a clean clean shedding, well muscled, free moving ram with great length - Pure Saltbush breeding with clean shedding background and a combination of Dries Wiese, Snyman and Jacobs breeding.
The dam, an original import ewe born in 1998 that has bred well for the Parilla stud, the Saltbush stud and now Genelink. She dropped this ram, 23 (twin), in 2006 at 8 years old and reared twin rams in 2007 at 9 years and is pregnant again in 2008, due to lamb in July - the ewe is sound in the feet and joints and has no shoulder breakdown - she is a complete shedder. A rare type for such age.
